CELEBRATE MATARIKI IN WAIMATE - SATURDAY 6 JULY

Come along and spend a day of learning and fun to mark the beginning of the Māori New Year!

Join us for an early morning Huatapu ceremony at the White Horse, followed by parakuihi (complimentary breakfast), a special Matariki edition of the Waimate Community Market and an outdoor movie night (Frozen Reo Māori) at Seddon Square

A community bus will leave from outside Norman Kirk Memorial Swimming Pool at 5:30am for the White Horse (booking required)

The Waimate Community Market will be extended until 2pm for the array of items available for purchasing alongside raranga (flax weaving) and Te Reo Māori workshops (booking required)
