Glenavy Hotel

Glenavy Hotel opened in 1889 and is still going strong. We are a small country hotel in the heart of Glenavy township, 15 minutes south of Waimate.  Our township is next to the beautiful Waitaki River. Our pub is renowned for hospitality for travellers, whitebaiters, salmon fisherman and local storytellers.  We have accommodation and food available, and are very proud of our heritage - this has been a family business for close to 40 years.

Makikihi Country Hotel

The Studholme Hotel

Just 6 minutes from Waimate is the historic Studholme Hotel. Built in 1916, the Studholme is Waimate's only accommodation with a bar and restaurant. With six tastefully restored rooms, along with great pub fare - the Studholme is a must visit. Open Wednesday to Sunday from 4pm for casual dining.

The Barn
